Florida lawmakers banned gay men and women from adopting children 30 years ago. But now a push is on to overturn that ruling and a new bill being introduced could help. It's Senate Bill 200 and it states a homosexual man or woman is eligible to adopt a child under certain circumstances.

"Iranian President Says No Gays in His Country"

*Ahmadinejad denies existence of gays in Iran. In his speech at Columbia University today, Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was asked about the treatment of gays in Iran. Ahmadinejad responded, “In Iran, we don't have homosexuals like in your country. We don’t have that in our country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon. I don’t know who’s told you we have it.”

A coalition of progressive groups, led by Equality Florida gathered to counter the symposium. This is the video of Wayne Besen's remarks, the Executive Director of Truth Wins Out. TWO is an organization that counters the so-called "ex-gay".

After Larry King, 15, came out, some of his classmates teased, bullied, then one shot him in the head twice and he died. His killer was a 14 year old classmate, was charged with first degree murder and a hate crime. He will be tried as an adult and faces up to 50 years in prison.

1. As the World Turns with daytime TV's first same-sex teenage kiss between Luke and Noah has been building up to this moment. Van Hansis, who plays Luke Snyder, was nominated for a daytime Emmy for "Outstanding Younger Actor" earlier this year. (:48)

2. There is a new Swedish soap opera started in September, titled Andra Avenyn and is in its 18 episode by now. It apparently has a leading character who goes from straight to gay in only those few episodes or something and it is rather hot to watch that development.

During one of Anita Bryant's "Save Our Children" television news conferences, she gets zapped by a pie-wielding gay activist. Ms. Bryant lead an "Anti-Gay Rights Campaign" in Florida's Broward and Dade Counties, back in 1977. Which sadly was successful back then. However, it cost her a lucrative contract as spokesperson for the Florida Orange Juice Industry. This is a historic document of political strategy.
